Operating Room Procedures

MyScheduler is an application that allows employees to view scheduled shifts, swap scheduled shifts, and request time off. Surgical Symphony is an application used by operating room (OR) departments to schedule employees and resources for surgical procedures. The integration between these applications allows OR employees in MyScheduler to view their schedules for the schedule period as well as the procedures they will perform on a selected day.

When staff employees assigned to the department log in to MyScheduler to view their schedules, they will see the calendar view displaying their scheduled assignments for the selected period. When they click a scheduled assignment, the details panel opens displaying a list of procedures the employee is scheduled to perform. The list is sorted by start time and includes the location, room, and role the employee is assigned for each procedure.

The employee can select the radio button for each procedure to view details such as the procedure name, surgeon, team members, and their roles.

The information displayed on the Procedures tab reflects the employee’s current assignments within the Surgical Symphony application. Surgical procedures are scheduled up to 10 days in advance, but may change up to the procedure’s scheduled date. Operating Room employees are encouraged to check their schedules frequently and follow all departmental scheduling procedures.
